Shares of A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd. (NASDAQ: APWR, APWR message board) on Tuesday touched lows last seen a month ago, as the company’s first quarter net earnings fell apart on 2008 figures, having failed to sustain the weight of a year-on-year increase in general and administrative costs, among other things. On a positive aspect, the China-based company upped its revenue and net income guidance for the full year ending December 31, drawing impetus from its already signed contracts for distributed power generation (DG)systems, which in any case are subject to change depending on customer payment and construction schedules.
